Terms of Service & EULA
Last Updated: September 15, 2026 • Governs use of the PoolDrops mobile applications for iOS & Android, and web services.
CRITICAL CHEMICAL SAFETY NOTICE
Swimming pool sanitizers and balancing chemicals (including but not limited to hydrochloric/muriatic acid, sodium hypochlorite, calcium hypochlorite, and cyanuric acid) are hazardous, corrosive, or oxidizing substances. Always read and follow manufacturer instructions and Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Never mix chemicals together, especially acid and chlorine compounds. Always add chemicals to water, never water to chemicals. Wear appropriate eye protection and chemical-resistant gloves.
1. Agreement to Terms & License Grant
By downloading, installing, or accessing PoolDrops (“the Application”), you agree to be bound by this End User License Agreement (EULA). PoolDrops grants you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use the Application on Apple iOS and Google Android devices that you own or control, strictly in accordance with these Terms and the applicable App Store or Google Play Terms of Service.
2. Calculation Nature & Safe-to-Swim Guidance
PoolDrops provides volumetric chemical estimation models based on standard swimming pool industry formulas and community best practices. While calculations are calibrated to high precision:
- Actual pool water chemistry varies based on temperature, sunlight/UV exposure, bather load, equipment condition, and water circulation rates.
- Estimated chemical addition amounts and “safe-to-swim” wait intervals are guidelines only. Users and commercial operators must independently re-test water parameters before allowing swimmers into the pool or spa.
- The user assumes full responsibility for chemical additions made to any swimming pool, spa, or water vessel.
3. Third-Party Trademarks & Independence
Taylor®, K-2006®, K-2006C®, K-2005®, K-1000®, FAS-DPD®, and related product designations are registered or common-law trademarks of Taylor Water Technologies LLC or their respective owners. Mention of these trademarks in the Application or website is strictly for identifying hardware compatibility (fair use). PoolDrops is an independently developed software product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or officially endorsed by Taylor Water Technologies LLC.
Other retail brands mentioned (such as Arm & Hammer®, 20 Mule Team Borax®, Klean-Strip®, and Clorox®) are trademarks of their respective brand holders and are cited solely to describe everyday retail products familiar to pool owners.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
5. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER, AFFILIATES, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PROPERTY DAMAGE, POOL SURFACE ETCHING OR STAINING, EQUIPMENT FAILURE, PERSONAL INJURY, OR CHEMICAL EXPENSES) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THIS APPLICATION.
6. Apple-Specific Requirements (iOS / iPadOS)
If you download PoolDrops from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge and agree that this agreement is concluded between you and PoolDrops only, and not with Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the Application, and Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA.
